HC stays proceedings against three police officers in Behbal Kalan case

HC stays proceedings against former Moga SSP in sacrilege case Punjab and Haryana High court has stayed the proceedings against three Punjab police officers in Behbal Kalan firing case, here on Thursday.

The High Court also issued notice of motion to Punjab for September 20. The court passed these orders on the petition of these three officers challenging the action of the state of Punjab. The court of Justice R K Jain issued notice motion for September 20 , 2018. The petition was filed Charanjit Singh Sharma former SSP Moga, Amarjit Singh former SHO Bajakhana and Raghubir Singh former SSP Mansa . The order by Justice RK Jain came on a petition by Charanjit Singh, SHO Amarjit Singh and SSP Raghbir Singh Sandhu.
The Bench stayed proceedings against them in pursuance of recommendations by the Justice Ranjit Singh Commission.
