Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan on Sunday shared an emotional message on Twitter after his mother passed away at the age of 89.
He took to Twitter and wrote: "Heartbroken to inform that my dearest person on earth, my Mother, has left for heavenly abode. She was 89 and suffered a cardiac arrest today morning. A towering personality, my guide, and a philosopher, she has left a void in my life that none can fill. May her pious soul find peace."
Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh tweeted: "My sincere condolences to Dr. Harsh Vardhan Ji, with whom I share a long-time relationship as my senior, both in the medical profession as well as in public life. Mother's void can never be filled." Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said in a tweet: "God bless her soul. My heartfelt condolences to the entire family Doc sahib."
Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharman said: "Heartfelt condolences Dr. Harsh Vardhan Ji. May the Almighty give strength to you and your family to bear the loss of a dear one." Meanwhile, netizens shared condolences with the family. A user wrote: "Deeply saddened to hear about the demise of Mother. May she rest in peace. My thoughts and prayers with Dr. Harsh Vardhan Ji."
"Beloved mother of a well respected and esteemed personality, a statesman and Union Minister of India for Health and Family Welfare, Dr. Harsh Vardhan Saheb, left for heaven today at the age of 89. May her holy soul rest in Peace till eternity," wrote another.
