Infosys President resigns ahead of earnings' announcement

New Delhi, October 12: Right before its earnings announcement on Thursday, IT behemoth Infosys's president, Ravi Kumar S, resigned on Tuesday. "The board of directors placed on record their deep sense of appreciation for the services rendered by Ravi Kumar S for his contributions to the company," Infosys said. Ravi Kumar S headed Infosys' global services organisation across all industrial segments as president. The former president began his career as a nuclear scientist at the Bhabha Atomic Research Center before joining Infosys in 2002. He was also in charge of Infosys' business process management and its operations in Latin America, Japan, and China, among other things. On the BSE, Infosys shares closed 2.65% lower at Rs1,423.90 apiece on Tuesday, ahead of the company's scheduled quarterly results release on October 13.
