International America Organization-IHA lauds “Golden Temple” for banning plastic inside the premises
The Golden Temple has been awarded by a International America Organization-IHA for banning plastic inside the premises.

Dr Satnam Singh Ahluwalia – Chairman IHA Foundation along with Ms. Kathleen Rogers – World President Earth Day Network (Washington DC,USA), Ms Karuna Singh Regional Director South Asia and other dignitaries presented a certificate to Dr.Roop Singh , Chief Secretary of the Management Committee Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) for their initiative in making Sri Darbar Sahib , Golden Temple , Amritsar the first religious temple/institution in India to ban plastic.
Earlier, a delegation headed by Dr Satnam Singh Ahluwalia – Chairman IHA Foundation handed over a Memorandum to the Chief Secretary Dr.Roop Singh of SGPC. Taking prompt action, Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) banned usage of plastic within Sri Darbar Sahib, Golden Temple complex, thereby making it a “No Plastic Zone”
