An Army Major and a soldier lost their lives in an IED blast, along the Line of Control (LoC) in Naushera sector in Rajouri district in Jammu and Kashmir on Friday.

According to reports, a explosive device was planted by suspected militants in foot-track along the LOC to target Army soldiers patrolling.

The soldiers were rushed to a hospital where they succumbed to injuries.
