Punjab Police constable recruitment 2026: CBT exam for 3,298 posts to begin from July 1

PTC Web Desk: The Punjab Police have announced the examination schedule for the recruitment of 3,298 constables in the district and armed cadres. According to the official notification, the computer-based test (CBT) will commence on July 1.

Candidates who have applied for the recruitment drive will be able to download their admit cards shortly. The department has advised applicants to regularly check the official website for updates regarding examination dates, admit cards and other recruitment-related information.



The recruitment notification was originally issued in March 2026 for a total of 3,298 vacancies. Of these, 2,522 posts are earmarked for the district cadre, while 776 positions are available in the armed cadre.

Initially, the last date for submission of applications was fixed as March 30. However, the Punjab Police later reopened the application portal and extended the deadline until May 5, giving more candidates an opportunity to apply.

With the examination dates now confirmed, the recruitment process has entered its next phase, and thousands of aspirants are expected to appear for the computer-based test beginning next month.
