After Delhi HC,Madras High Court bans online medicine sales
The Madras High Court on Monday imposed a ban on the sale of medicines online. The High Court passed the order on a plea filed by the Tamil Nadu Chemists and Druggists Association (TMCDA).
Earlier,on Thursday Delhi High Court had imposed a ban on the online medicine sales.

According to the TMCDA Association, “With online sale of medicines, there is a risk of unlicensed online outlets. Also,online sales would not only paralyze the present distribution chain of nearly eight lakh medicine dealers supplying drugs to a population of around 125 crores but will also prove dangerous to the health of the public”

The High Court has set a deadline and has asked the central government to notify the rules & regulations regarding online medicine sales by January 31, 2019.
