The accident took place near Aundane village, about 80 kilometres from Nashik on Satana-Taharabad Road. According to the media reports, all the four deceased were the residents of Talawade. They were returning from a religious function in Kanduri.
All the four people were rushed to the nearby hospital, where three of them were declared brought dead. The fourth person succumbed to his injuries.
The deceased were identified as Samadhan Patait (18), Arun Devare (19), Anil Mali (18) and Sharad Sonawane (22).

Police reached the spot and registered a case against the van driver who fled after the accident.
