Maharashtrian boxer ends fight with life at 19

In a major incident, a Nagpur-based 19-year-old national-level boxer has allegedly ended his life by hanging himself in his hostel room in Akola, Maharashtra, on Friday. Pranav Raut represented Maharashtra at the national boxing championship held in Delhi earlier in 2020, his coach Satishchandra Bhatt reported. Pranav Raut was a resident of Nagpur. He was undergoing training at a sports academy in Akola and stayed in the hostel only. Raut was supposed to be part of a tournament in Akola on Friday. His coach Satishchandra Bhatt said that, "On Thursday, Raut did not come for training due to health reasons.
