Man rapes six-year-old girl in running train

Mumbai, February 19: In a shocking incident, a six-year-old girl was raped by a 25-year-old man in a running train heading to Mumbai from Gorakhpur. According to the report, the incident took place on Tuesday (February 15) when the train was crossing Madhya Pradesh at around 4:30 am. The accused has been identified as Sonu Prajapati. The family was heading back to their home from Uttar Pradesh. The incident took place when the family was asleep at night. After allegedly raping the minor, the accused ran and hid in the toilet of the train compartment. As the mother of the girl victim woke up and came to know about the situation, she caught Prajapati with the help of other passengers on the train. She immediately informed her husband, who was in Thane, following which he arrived at the Kalyan GRP at around 2.30 pm. Minor's-rape-in-train-shocks-Mumbai-2 The Kalyan GRP then notified the Aurangabad and Igatpuri control rooms, but they were unable to intercept the train in time. The Kalyan GRP thereafter made the decision to apprehend the accused. The train arrived at Kalyan railway station 12 hours later and the accused Prajapati was handed over to the authorities after being apprehended by fellow passengers.
