29-year-old Indian engineer dies during scuba diving in Dubai

PTC News Desk: A 29-year-old Indian engineer died during a scuba diving session in Dubai's Jumeirah Beach while spending the Eid al-Adha holiday with his family, local media reported. 


The deceased has been identified as Issac Paul Olakkengil who hailed from the southern Indian state of Kerala suffered a cardiac arrest after experiencing difficulty breathing underwater. Isaac was an engineer based in the UAE.

"They were participating in a beginners' training session when Issac began to struggle with his breathing and drifted away from the rest of the group," he said.

Isaac was immediately pulled out of the war and rushed to a nearby hospital, but he died.

"We are currently coordinating with the relevant authorities to complete the documentation needed for the repatriation of his body," Pyarilos was quoted by Khaleej Times as saying.
