PTC News Desk: 5 robbers looted a jewellery shop in the Bhiwadi area of Rajasthan's Khairthal-Tijara district. According to police, the robbers opened fire during the crime. According to a Times of India report, the shop's owner was killed.

Two others – the owner's brother and a guard — were seriously injured from gunshots, and two more were injured fighting the robbers. Police have yet to ascertain how much jewellery and cash the armed robbers took from the shop.

CCTV footage of the incident showed the perpetrators storming the shop, Kamlesh Jewellers, firing in the air and going on a violent rampage, severely attacking the employees and the owner. The employees were mercilessly beaten with weapons while the perpetrators quickly packed their bags with jewellery and fled in a waiting car, all in 10-15 minutes.

Police are trying to identify criminals by scrutinising CCTV footage of the attack.

People who witnessed the robbery outside the shop were also able to record it on video.

According to authorities, the incident began at 7.30 p.m., when the armed men arrived in a car and fired three rounds into the air.

They pointed a weapon at the owner and began looting the shop.

As they fled, the attackers opened fire, killing the owner, Jai Singh Soni. His brother Madhusudhan Soni, also known as Sagar, and guard Ajaan Yadav were also injured. Following their first treatments at a Bhiwadi hospital, the three were transferred to a Gurugram hospital.

Jaipur Range IG Anil Tank told TOI that owner Soni died while being taken to Gurugram.
