Nine people were charred to death and nearly 24 were injured after a tourist bus caught fire in Haryana's Nuh on Friday. The bus was carrying around 60 people when the incident took place.

10 charred to death, 24 injured as Punjab-bound bus catches fire in Haryana's Nuh

PTC News Desk: Ten people were charred to death and nearly 24 were injured after a tourist bus caught fire in Haryana's Nuh on Friday. The bus was carrying around 60 people when the incident took place.

According to officials, the incident happened on the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) Expressway near Nuh late at night at 1.30 am.


The bus was bound for Punjab and most of the passengers were on religious pilgrimages. 

Eyewitnesses reported the fire to the police and fire brigade. Emergency services arrived promptly, but by then, the bus was completely engulfed in flames. 

Passengers were heard screaming for help, and bystanders along with nearby residents managed to rescue several tourists from the burning vehicle.

The police and fire brigade teams are investigating the cause of the fire. The injured have been admitted to nearby hospitals for treatment.
