Air hostess found dead under mysterious circumstances after party at friend's home in Gurugram

PTC Web Desk: A 25-year-old air hostess with Air India  died under mysterious circumstances in Gurugram, Haryana, after reportedly developing breathing difficulties during a weekend party at a friend’s residence. The incident took place in the DLF Phase 1 area. The police have launched investigation.

The deceased has been identified as Simran. It is learnt that she was a resident of Mohali, Punjab, and had been working with Air India for the past two years. Earlier, she served as a cabin crew member with Vistara Airlines. According to police officials, Simran was currently residing in Delhi.


The police said Simran had visited her friend rented flat in DLF Phase 1 on the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday. Her friend Neetika, who is originally from Uttarakhand, is also a cabin crew member. Several other friends were present at the flat and the group reportedly held a late-night party. The gathering continued until late night.

At around 5 am, Simran allegedly began experiencing severe breathing difficulties. Her friends immediately rushed her to hospital in Gurugram, where she died. Following the incident, the hospital authorities informed the police. A team from the DLF Phase 1 police station reached the hospital and initiated an investigation.

The body was taken into police custody and sent for a post-mortem examination. Viscera samples have been preserved and forwarded to a forensic science laboratory to determine the exact cause of death.

The police said the exact cause of the death would be confirmed only after the post-mortem and forensic reports are received. Simran’s family later arrived in Gurugram but did not lodge any complaint with the police.

At present, the DLF Phase 1 police are recording statements from friends who were present at the party.
