Arvind Kejriwal dismisses exit polls as fake, alleges EVM manipulation ahead of surrender

PTC News Desk: Arvind Kejriwal, the leader of the Aam Aadmi Party, referred to the exit poll results, which showed the Bharatiya Janata Party winning handily, as fraudulent on Sunday.

Speaking to AAP employees at the party headquarters before his planned surrender to Tihar Jail officials, the chief minister of Delhi asserted that the exit polls were held three days before to the Lok Sabha election results in an attempt to rig electronic voting machines.

"The exit polls for the Lok Sabha Elections of 2024 were released yesterday. Put it in writing: these exit surveys are all phony. There are just 25 seats in Rajasthan, but one exit poll gave the BJP 33 seats, according to Kejriwal.

"The main problem is that a fictitious exit poll has to be conducted three days before to the actual counting day. He went on, "There are a number of theories about this, one of which is that they are attempting to manipulate the machines (EVMs)."

According to the majority of exit polls, the National Democratic Alliance would secure around 350 Lok Seats. According to at least three exit polls, the ruling alliance will win the 400 seats it needs.

On March 21, Arvind Kejriwal was taken into custody by the Enforcement Directorate in relation to the Delhi liquor policy issue. He was given temporary bail by the Supreme Court last month so that he may run in the Lok Sabha elections. Bail for 21 days was lifted today.

The Supreme Court's administration turned down Kejriwal's request for an extension of interim bail earlier this week. Additionally, a local judge denied him relief, delaying his regular bail plea hearing until June 5.

Today, Kejriwal said that he was imprisoned for speaking out against dictatorship.

"I was given bail by the Supreme Court to run for office for 21 days. For that, SC has my gratitude. I'm heading back to Tihar Jail today. I didn't squander a single moment during these 21 days. I ran campaigns for a number of parties in addition to the AAP. I visited Jharkhand, Haryana, UP, and Mumbai. For us, the nation is more important than AAP. I would like to inform the people of Delhi that I will be returning to prison—not because I committed a scam, but rather because I have spoken out against dictatorship.Kejriwal stated today, "PM Modi acknowledged in front of the nation that he had no evidence against me.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) was predicted by numerous exit polls to not establish an office in Delhi following the BJP's victory in all seven Lok Sabha seats in the nation's capital.

Arvind Kejriwal declared earlier this week that he has dropped six kg of weight since going to jail. He asserted that a significant illness might be the cause of the weight reduction.
