PTC News Desk: Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal received insulin treatment in Tihar jail today after his blood sugar level surged to 320, sources reported. This development came after Kejriwal accused the jail administration of neglecting his requests for insulin.

The Tihar jail administration countered Kejriwal's claims, stating that during a video consultation with AIIMS specialists, the issue of insulin and its necessity was not raised. However, a city court had previously directed AIIMS to form a medical board to evaluate Kejriwal's medical needs, including insulin.

Kejriwal had expressed concerns about the jail's failure to provide insulin, disputing the administration's assertion that the matter was never discussed during consultations with doctors. He maintained that he had repeatedly requested insulin over the course of 10 days.

The AAP alleged that the jail administration deliberately withheld insulin from Kejriwal, suggesting a conspiracy to harm him. Meanwhile, Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva claimed that AAP leaders sought to garner public sympathy for Kejriwal's health during the Lok Sabha elections.

Sachdeva asserted that although Kejriwal is diabetic, his blood sugar levels remained stable in jail as he did not request insulin during the video consultation with AIIMS doctors.
