British Deputy High Commission, Alliance Française Chandigarh screen ‘Five films for freedom’
PTC Web Desk: The British Deputy High Commission, Chandigarh, in collaboration with Alliance Française Chandigarh, hosted a special screening of 'Five films for freedom' on Wednesday at Alliance Française, Sector 36.
The event was attended by Caroline Rowett, British Deputy High Commissioner, Chandigarh, along with a diverse audience, including social workers, LGBTQIA community members, filmmakers, educationists, and students.
'Five films for freedom' is a global online short film initiative celebrating LGBTQIA stories. It is produced by the British Council in partnership with BFI Flare: London LGBTQIA Film Festival. The initiative makes five LGBTQIA themed short films available for free online for 12 days during the BFI Flare Festival.
This year, 'Five Films For Freedom' runs from March 19 to March 30, encouraging global audiences to watch and support LGBTQIA storytelling.
