BSF jawan kills self after learning about wife's death
PTC News Desk: A BSF jawan stationed in Jammu and Kashmir shot himself after finding that his wife had killed herself back home in Rajasthan after an argument on the phone, police informed on Wednesday. They had been married for eight months.
Anshu Yadav (24), of Dheerpur village in Rajasthan's Kotputli-Behror district, killed herself at her home on Tuesday night, according to police.
They claim that after learning of her death, Rajendra Yadav (28), a Border Security Force (BSF) head constable stationed in Jammu and Kashmir's Kupwara, shot himself with his service revolver.
Rajesh Meena, SHO of the Harsaura police station in the Kotputli-Behror district, stated that the woman's body was handed over to family members following a postmortem.
It has come to light that they had a disagreement over the phone, Meena said, adding that the woman appears to have killed herself after that.
He added that Rajendra Yadav's body would be taken to Jaipur on Thursday.
The inquiry has been handed over to the sub-divisional officer, according to police. A case has been registered under Section 176 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (inquest proceedings).
