Chhattisgarh school mishap: 33 students hurt after helium gas cylinder explodes in school premises

Chhattisgarh school gas explosion: In a horrific and unfortunate incident, Thirty-three students among thirty-seven hurt after helium gas exploded inside the Vivekananda Vidya Niketan School campus in Ambikapur city in the district. 

The dreadful incident unfolded at around 2:15 pm in the afternoon during the school lunch break on Thursday. The incident unfurl when members of an NGO were using helium cylinders to fill the balloons, but unfortunately the helium gas cylinder exploded and students on a lunch break came under its impact and sustained minor injuries. 


Around 33 school children among 37 sustained minor injuries. 

No casualties have been reported and all the students are under medical observation. Out of 33 injured, 11 students have been already discharged. 

The authorities are conducting a further investigation into the matter to determine the circumstances that led to school mishap and take the necessary action. 

The school gas explosion incident raises serious concerns about the safety of students in school premises.
