PTC News Desk: Two minors were arrested on Sunday for allegedly shooting their 17-year-old classmate after inviting him to dinner. The incident took place late Saturday night in Sector 48, Gurugram.

According to police, the Sadar Police Station received an emergency call reporting that a boy had been shot. When officers reached the scene, the victim was already being taken to the hospital by his family.

Police cordoned off the area and recovered a pistol, a magazine, five live cartridges, and one empty shell casing from the spot. In addition, another magazine and 65 live cartridges were found in a box in one of the accused’s rooms.

Investigators revealed that the firearm used in the attack belonged to the father of one of the accused, who works as a property dealer, and that the licensed pistol had been taken from their home.

In her written complaint, the victim’s mother stated that her son, an 11th-grade student, had received a call from a school friend asking him to meet. Though hesitant at first, she eventually allowed him to go. The victim was allegedly taken to the accused’s house, where he was shot as revenge for a previous dispute between the two boys that occurred about two months ago.

Police said the investigation is ongoing, and further legal proceedings are in progress.
