Delhi assembly session: AAP MLAs claim their entry blocked, barricades deployed amid showdown with BJP
PTC News Desk: AAP MLAs have alleged that their entry were restricted into the Delhi assembly on Thursday days after they were suspended for three days over uproar in the house. The members have alleged that several barricades were deployed to prevent them from entering the assembly complex.
Atishi, Leader of the Opposition in the Delhi Assembly, took to X to condemn the move, alleging that the BJP had taken "dictatorship" to new heights.
Meanwhile BJP's MLA Mohan Singh Bisht today said that the attitude of the AAP was "wrong" further stating that the MLAs needed to bring a change in their behaviour.
Speaking to mediapersons Bisht said "Their attitude has been very wrong...if the LG is giving the speech, then they should listen to it... I have never seen such an attitude from anyone before... they should bring a change in their behaviour... it is the people that have chosen us... the party only gives us a symbol...they need to have knowledge on the decorum that needs to be maintained..."
Earlier this week, 21 MLAs including former Delhi CM and leader of opposition Atishi were suspended from Delhi assembly over pandemonium caused due to the presentation of CAG report surrounding corruption allegations by Aam Aadmi Party during their regime.
The CAG report tabled in the Delhi assembly by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, revealed that the now-scrapped liquor policy, implemented by the former Aam Aadmi Party-led government in Delhi, resulted in a total revenue loss of Rs 2,002 crore.
