Despite medical intervention, his condition deteriorated rapidly, and he succumbed to the heart attack around 6 a.m., as confirmed by a senior doctor at Rajindra Hospital.

Gyan Singh, survived by his three brothers, lived with his brother Salvinder Singh after his wife's passing, as they had no children. The family expressed their pride in Gyan Singh's sacrifice and pledged to continue supporting the farmers' cause. They highlighted his financial struggles and appealed for his debts to be forgiven in light of his martyrdom. Our colleague, Ravibakhsh Singh Arshi, conducted an in-depth interview with the family members to understand their situation.
