Poonch terror attack: Days after an Air Force convoy was attacked in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch, exclusive photographs from the CCTV footage has been released with the information about the three terrorists behind the attack in which Indian Air Force (IAF) Corporal Vikky Pahade lost his life and four others were injured, security forces in Jammu and Kashmir have intensified their efforts to capture the perpetrators.
As per the sources, the terrorists have been identified as Illiyas, a former member of the Pakistan Army, a Pakistani militant known as Hadoon (or Hadun), and Abu Hamza, the alias of a commander from the banned group Lashkar-e-Taiba.
According to Jammu and Kashmir's police sketch, Hamza is described as a 30-32-year-old man with a medium build and fair skin, with cropped hair.
He was last seen wearing a Pathan suit, a brown scarf and an orange bag.
According to sources, the terrorists carried out the attacks against the branch of Jaish-e-Mohammed People's Anti-Fascist Front (PAFF).
The PAFF is a Jaish-backed terror group that has also claimed responsibility for an attack on an army vehicle that killed four soldiers in Poonch in December last year.
In the aftermath of the attack, a significant search operation was carried out in the Shahsitar area, with armed forces deploying bulletproof vehicles and dog squads to track down the terrorists. The area witnessed heightened security measures, with several senior officers visiting the site to oversee the ongoing operations.
