Encounter breaks out in Jammu and Kashmir's Shopian, 3 Lashkar terrorist neutralised
PTC News Desk: At least three terrorist associated with Lashkar were killed in the Zinpather Keller area of Shopian on Tuesday after an encounter broke out between terrorists and security forces while two terrorists are believed to be trapped.
Identification of of terrorist is being ascertained. The security forces have also recovered arms and ammunition while search operation to nab other terrorists is on. As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering off a gunfight.
A senior police officer also confirmed to GNS about exchange of firing between militants and security forces.
The development comes moments after security agencies put up posters of the terrorists involved in the Pahalgam attack. The posters were put at several locations and a reward of Rs 20 lakh has been announced for anyone with any credible information.
