Fire in Punjab-Madhya Pradesh train coach; no casualty reported
Patalkot Express fire: A fire broke out in the Patalkot Express coach near the Bhadai railway station of the Malpura Police Station in Agra. The train (14624) was travelling from Punjab's Ferozepur to Madhya Pradesh's Seoni.
A fire broke out in the fourth coach after the engine at 3.45 p.m., after the train left Agra station, according to a railway source.
According to Indian Railways, the train was immediately stopped, and no injuries were reported.
"Smoke was reported on the Patalkot Express train between Agra and Dholpur. The smoke was detected in the GS coach, which was the fourth coach from the engine. The train was immediately stopped, and the coach was detached," Indian Railways said, adding "There were no injuries."
The cause of the fire was not immediately known.
