Fourth student suicide reported in Rajasthan's Kota this year
PTC News Desk: Yet another tragedy has struck Rajasthan's Kota as a student preparing for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) took his own life, marking the fourth such incident this year alone. This adds to the distressing trend of student suicides in the region, with 29 reported cases in the previous year, 2023.
The victim, a JEE aspirant simultaneously preparing for their 12th-grade exams, was found hanging from the ceiling fan in his room. Concern arose when family members failed to receive their usual morning phone call from the student. Upon contacting the warden, they were met with the devastating news of the student's suicide.

Police were alerted and promptly arrived at the scene to discover the tragic sight of the student's lifeless body hanging from the ceiling fan. This latest incident further highlights the pressing need for increased mental health support and intervention measures within the student community, particularly in high-pressure academic environments like Kota.
