Fresh bomb threat emails sent to Delhi schools; premises evacuated, search underway
PTC News Desk: Two schools in Delhi, Army Public School in Dhaula Kuan and Air Force Bal Bharti School on Lodhi Road, received bomb threat emails on Monday. Police officials and the Delhi Fire Service swiftly reached the spot and evacuated the premises.
"We are verifying the source of the email. So far, nothing suspicious has been found. As a precautionary measure, a thorough search operation is underway on the school premises, which has been vacated," a senior police officer said.
Soon after receiving the email warning presence of explosive device on the campus, school administration alerted the authorities, who then swung into action.
The cyber cell has also been roped in to identify the source of the email.
Teams from Delhi Police, the bomb disposal squad, dog squad and fire department are currently present at the spotand searches are underway.
