Patiala House Court grants 10-day remand of Sachin
Bishnoi alias Sachin Thapan to Delhi police. He was produced in Patiala House

A day after deadly communal clashes in Haryana's Nuh, state Chief Minister Manohar Lak Khattar held a high-level meeting with state home minister Anil Vij and other officials. Shinde announced ex-gratia of Rs 5 lakh to the kin of those who were killed.
Speaking to reporters in Pune, Shinde said, "Rs 5 lakh ex-gratia will be given to the next of kin of the deceased. It is an unfortunate incident. A company based in Switzerland was working here. Instructions have been given for its thorough investigation. The NDRF team has reached the spot and has given instructions for rescue work. Our concerned department officials and minister are present at the spot."

Tension and scare grip Haryana’s Nuh: The communal clashes in Haryana’s Nuh spread like a nationwide concern. Two home guards were killed and seven police officers were injured as a mob tried to stop a religious procession by throwing stones and setting cars on fire in Haryana's Nuh. To disperse the mob, police sprayed tear gas and fired shots in the air.
In the wake of clashes between two groups on Monday, Authorities order closure of educational institutes for today. Meanwhile, Mobile internet services have been suspended temporarily in the Nuh district of Haryana. Suspension of the internet services will continue in Nuh district till August 2.
Due to the communal clashes in Haryana’s Nuh, Section 144 has also been imposed in the district and curfew orders have been given in the district.

Maharashtra Girder machine collapses: In an unfortunate mishap at least 17 people died and several were injured after a girder launching machine collapsed near Shahpur in Thane.
As per the information, the machine was being used in the construction of Phase III of the Samruddhi Express Highway.
The officials said that two NDRF teams are engaged in a search and rescue operation.
