Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Wednesday held a press conference over the communal violence in Nuh and said that "rioters would be held accountable and will be made to pay for the loss of properties."

New Delhi, August 2: As the neighbouring state of Haryana witnessed violence in Nuh and Gurugram districts, Delhi Police on Wednesday went on alert mode, keeping a watchful eye on "sensitive" areas. Delhi Police Public Relations Officer Suman Nalwa told ANI that in the wake of violence in Haryana, the police in the national capital are on alert mode with officers on the ground.
New Delhi, August 2: Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Nityanand Rai on Wednesday informed Rajya Sabha in a written reply that 481 cases have been reported to Delhi Police regarding false promises by touts to tourists in the national capital in 2022 and current year till July 15.
MoS Rai said, "The cases reported to Delhi Police for false promises by touts include cheating, overcharging etc. and are registered under the Delhi Prevention of Touting & Malpractices Against Tourists Act, 2010. During the last one year and current year (upto 15/07/2023), 481 cases have been reported, out of which 61 cases have concluded into conviction and 01 case into acquittal."
New Delhi, August 2: The government has taken up a project to construct 6,000 transit accommodations for Kashmiri migrant employees returning to the Valley, and a total of 880 flats have been constructed in the last three years, the Parliament was told on Wednesday.
Sharing the information in a written reply in Rajya Sabha, Union Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai pointed out that the move was taken up "due to improved security scenario in Kashmir Valley". The Minister also clarified that "no Two Room Tenements (TRTs) were built in 2004".

The Haryana’s Nuh protest and violence now hit several places of national capital and the adjoining districts of Faridabad, Palwal, and Gurugram. One death was reported in Sector 57 mosque in Gurugram, five vehicles were torched in Sohna, and two to three shops were vandalised.
The protestors hit the streets near East Delhi's Nirman Vihar Metro station and Ghonda Chowk, raising slogans.
Apart from these two places, demonstrations were also held near Subhash Nagar Chowk.

Nuh, August 2: Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala on Wednesday said the yatra organisers in Nuh did not provide complete information to the district administration, which resulted in the violence on Monday. Speaking to media persons on Wednesday, after the violence in the Nuh district claimed 5 lives, including that of 2 police homeguards, the Deputy CM vowed stringent action against those responsible.

Gurugram, August 2: Rapid Action Force personnel conducted a flag march in Gurugram's Badshahpur early on Wednesday, morning following the clashes that broke out in Nuh district of the State. Security has been strengthened in the districts adjoining Nuh -- Faridabad, Palwal, and Gurugram-- in light of the violence that broke out between two groups on July 31.
