Uttarkashi, August 3: The Gangotri National Highway, 500 meters ahead of Bhatwadi, has been closed to traffic since morning due to falling of debris. This has caused a disruption for the devotees of the Gangotri Dham Yatra, who are now stranded on the route, according to the district administration of Uttarkashi.
The District Administration Uttarkashi is working to clear the debris and restore traffic on the highway as soon as possible.
Bengaluru, August 3: Two people died and another was seriously injured when a water tank collapsed on a food stall near Bengaluru's Shivajinagar area, police said.
The incident took place yesterday night, according to a police official. The water tank, which was located on top of a four-story building, fell onto the food stall below.

Haryana violence became global concern as now the United States Department of State said that the US calls for calm and urges parties to refrain from violence in response to ongoing clashes in Gurugram and surrounding areas.
Addressing the State Department, the official spokesperson Matthew Miller said, "I would say of – with respect to the clashes that obviously we would, as always, urge calm and urge parties to refrain from violent actions."
"With respect to whether we’ve heard from any Americans, I’m not aware of that. I’m happy to follow up with the – with the embassy," he said when asked about any American citizen impacted by the clashes in Gurugram.
