Former Pakistan PM Imran Khan gets 3-year jail
A district and sessions court in Pakistan has pronounced a three-year jail sentence for former Prime Minister Imran Khan in the Toshakhana case. The case pertains to the illegal sale of state gifts. He has also been disqualified from participating in politics for a period of five years.
The court also imposed a fine of Rs 100,000 on the PTI chief, Geo News reported.

3 soldiers killed in encounter in J&K's Kulgam, search for terrorists continue
Three Army personnel, who were injured during an encounter with terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir's Kulgam district, have succumbed to their injuries.

Nuh violence: In a significant development in Haryana, Police have arrested as many as 141 and lodged 55 FIRs in connection with the violence and rioting in Nuh district.
The death toll in the clash between two factions was at 6, including two police home guards, with another 88 injured, according to authorities.
"In connection with the violence during a religious procession, 55 FIRs have been registered so far and 141 people have been arrested. Another 88 people were injured in the clashes. The toll in the violence stands at 6," officials said.
