The Supreme Court of Australia's Queensland has overturned a law, which banned Sikh religious daggers (kirpan) in schools, and called the legislation 'inconsistent'.

A district and sessions court in Pakistan has pronounced a three-year jail sentence for former Prime Minister Imran Khan in the Toshakhana case. The case pertains to the illegal sale of state gifts. He has also been disqualified from participating in politics for a period of five years.

Nuh violence: In a significant development in Haryana, Police have arrested as many as 141 and lodged 55 FIRs in connection with the violence and rioting in Nuh district.
The death toll in the clash between two factions was at 6, including two police home guards, with another 88 injured, according to authorities.
"In connection with the violence during a religious procession, 55 FIRs have been registered so far and 141 people have been arrested. Another 88 people were injured in the clashes. The toll in the violence stands at 6," officials said.
