Handcuffed, in shackles: First visuals of Rana being handed over to NIA by US Marshals surface
PTC News Desk: 26/11 Mumbai attacks plotter Tahawwur Rana has been brought back to India on Thursday. He has been sent to 18 days NIA custody with the central agency set to grill Rana in connection with the case.
A day after his extradition, first visuals of Rana being handed over to NIA by US Marshals have surfaced. The visuals show the 64-year-old terror suspect, in chains, being escorted by US Marshals in what seems like an Army airbase.
The photos have been released by the US Department of Justice's Office of Public Affairs.

US Marshals in the Central District of California on Tuesday transferred custody of Tahawwur Rana, a Pakistani national and Canadian citizen, to representatives from India’s Ministry of External Affairs.
Tahawwur Rana, a Canadian official of Pakistani origin landed on Indian soil on Thursday after being extradited from the United States. He was immediately arrested by NIA upon his arrival and sent to 18-days custody by a special court. Visual from Palam airport showed Rana donned in brown overall with white hair and flowing beard handcuffed cordoned by NIA officials.
