Haryana shines in UPSC Civil Services result 2025: Sonepat’s Vaibhav secures AIR 344; three from Charkhi Dadri also succeed

PTC Web Desk:  The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared the final results of the Civil Services Examination 2025.  Vaibhav, a resident of Sonepat in Haryana, has secured All India Rank (AIR) 344, bringing pride to his district and family.

Vaibhav lives in the Ramnagar area of Sonepat and originally hails from Chitana village. As soon as the news of his success reached family members and acquaintances, celebrations began at his home. The family distributed sweets and expressed their joy, while his parents became emotional over their son's remarkable achievement.


Vaibhav has been academically bright since childhood. He completed his Class 10 in 2017 from Hindu Senior Secondary School, Sonepat, and passed Class 12 in 2019 from DAV School. He later pursued his graduation from Hindu College, University of Delhi, completing it in 2022. Continuing his academic journey, he earned a postgraduate degree in History from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) in 2024.

Speaking about his journey, Vaibhav said during Covid-19 pandemic, his elder sister Ritika Sharma motivated him to prepare for the civil services. Inspired by her encouragement, he set his goal to crack the UPSC examination.

Notably, Vaibhav prepared for the exam without joining any coaching institute. He studied at home for around 7–8 hours daily and consciously stayed away from social media to maintain focus.

He first appeared for the UPSC Civil Services Examination in 2023, but could not clear it. In his second attempt in 2024, he failed to qualify for the Mains examination. However, he remained determined and finally succeeded in his third attempt, securing AIR 344.

Vaibhav’s father Jai Bhagwan is an advocate, while his mother Seema is a homemaker. His elder sister Ritika Sharma is a Chartered Accountant, and his younger sister Bharti is currently preparing for the judicial services examination.

Three candidates from Charkhi Dadri district also clear UPSC Civil Services Exam 2025

Candidates from Charkhi Dadri district in Haryana have also brought pride to the region by securing success in the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Civil Services Examination 2025. Three aspirants from the district have earned ranks in the prestigious examination.

Yashwant Sangwan, son of Sanjay, alias Kuku Sangwan, secured All India Rank (AIR) 391. He is originally a resident of village Charkhi and is currently living near Rohtak Chowk in Charkhi Dadri.

Anshika Sangwan, daughter of Pradeep Sangwan, achieved AIR 330 in the examination. She belongs to village Chandeni in Charkhi Dadri district and is currently residing in Najafgarh, Delhi.

Another successful candidate, Sunita, alias Tina, daughter of Ganpal Singh, secured AIR 958. She is a resident of village Hansawas Kalan in the district.

The success of these candidates has brought joy and pride to their families and the entire district. Local residents and well-wishers congratulated the successful aspirants for their achievement in one of the country’s most competitive examinations.
