Hyderabad fire accident: Massive fire breaks out at residential building; 9 dead
PTC Web Desk: A devastating fire erupted in a residential building in Nampally, Hyderabad, leaving nine persons dead on Monday. Three others sustained injuries and were promptly taken to nearby hospitals.
Although the fire has been successfully brought under control, rescue operations and cooling procedures are underway. Residents from upper floors are being evacuated through windows to ensure their safety.
In total, 21 persons have been rescued, with 10 of them found unconscious during the extraction from the building. Emergency response teams are actively engaged in managing the aftermath of the tragic incident.
The fire originated on the ground floor, where chemicals were stored, and subsequently, it extended to other levels. Initial evaluations suggest that the ignition occurred due to a spark during a car repair.

As per a witness account, the chemicals ignited, and attempts to extinguish the fire with water proved ineffective. The fire brigade received the alert at approximately 9:35 am, prompting the swift deployment of multiple fire tenders to the location.
