Haryana: IAF's Jaguar aircraft crashes in Ambala, pilot ejects safely; court of inquiry ordered
PTC News Desk: A Jaguar fighter aircraft of the Indian Air Force crashed today in Ambala, Haryana. The aircraft had taken off from the Ambala airbase on a training sortie. The pilot ejected from the aircraft.
According to the Indian Air Force officials, a Court of Inquiry has been ordered into the accident to ascertain the cause. The accident occurred at around 3:45 pm.
In a statement on X, the IAF said, " A Jaguar aircraft of the IAF crashed at Ambala during a routine training sortie today, after encountering system malfunction. The pilot maneuvered the aircraft away from any habitation on the ground before ejecting safely. "
