India extends NOTAM for Pakistan flights for one month; to be in effect till June 23

PTC Web Desk: India has extended the ban on its airspace for Pakistani aircraft and airlines until June 23, as per the latest NOTAM (Notice to Airmen) issued by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) on Friday.

The move comes in response to the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which has further strained already fragile diplomatic ties between India and Pakistan. Officials cited national security concerns and heightened tensions as the primary reasons behind the extended closure.

The extension means that all Pakistani commercial and military flights will continue to be barred from entering Indian airspace for another month, affecting flight routes and schedules between the two countries.

"Indian airspace is not approved for ACFTs registered in Pakistan and ACFTs operated/owned or leased by Pakistani airlines/operators, including military flights," said the Ministry of Civil Aviation.
