Lok Sabha Polls 2024: In a bid to encourage voter turnout of the Lok Sabha elections in Gurugram, the district administration offered an enticing deal: discount on movie tickets and food items in multiplexes.
The Gurugram district government has launched a campaign to enhance voter turnout in the Gurgaon Parliamentary constituency for the May 25 Lok Sabha elections, with authorities announcing discounts on movie tickets and food items in multiplexes, as well as complimentary refreshments.
To get heavy discount on movie tickets, food items and complimentary refreshments, one needs to show their inked finger to obtain discount on offline tickets available at the counter or food and drinks available on the cinema hall premises
Meanwhile, for the same a meeting also took place from major multiplex chains, conducted by Hitesh Kumar Meena, ADC and nodal officer for the Systematic Voters' Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) programme in Gurugram.
In the meeting, it has been decided that the voters will also get complimentary refreshments in some multiplexes
He stated that all multiplexes would show the District Election Officer and Deputy Commissioner Nishant Kumar Yadav's message, as well as short videos about voter awareness, on their screens.
Recently, the Gurugam district administration appointed Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal as a 'brand ambassador' to increase voter turnout.
The Election Commission has set the polling date for the Gurgaon Lok Sabha Constituency Election 2024. This election is planned to take place on May 25th (Phase 6). The results to be announced on June 4.
