PTC Web Desk: A disturbing incident has come to light from a private school in Lucknow, where a five-year-old nursery student was allegedly assaulted by the class monitor inside the classroom. The incident, captured on CCTV cameras, has triggered concern among parents and raised questions about student safety in schools.

According to the footage, the incident took place on Wednesday at ALS Academy. A teacher was initially present in the classroom with around 18 students. After asking the children to place their heads on their desks, the teacher reportedly left the room and instructed the class monitor to watch over the class.

Soon after the teacher walked out, the monitor allegedly began hitting students who raised their heads. One child was slapped immediately after looking up, while a few other students were also struck for doing the same.

The situation became more serious when the monitor targeted a five-year-old boy. CCTV footage reportedly shows her repeatedly slapping the child and trying to force his head back onto the desk. When the boy began crying and refused to keep his head down, the assault continued.

At one point, the frightened child tried to leave the classroom. However, the monitor stopped him near the door, dragged him back inside, slapped him again and reportedly locked the classroom door from the inside.

The boy later attempted to open another exit but was unable to do so. He remained near the door for some time before being taken back to his seat, where he was allegedly hit several more times. Throughout the incident, the other children stayed seated with their heads down.

Nearly 10 minutes later, the teacher returned to the classroom. After the door was opened, the child immediately complained about the monitor. The teacher was then seen speaking to both the student and the monitor.

The incident came to light after the boy returned home. His parents noticed swelling and bruises on his face and immediately questioned him. They later visited the school, where they reportedly reviewed the CCTV footage showing the alleged assault.

Following the incident, the school expelled the class monitor.
