Maharashtra shocker: Man kills wife, two children with cricket bat; manhunt begins
PTC News Desk: Police in Maharashtra's Thane said on Thursday that a man killed his wife and two children with a cricket bat. The incident occurred in Thane's Kasarvadavali village, according to police, and the accused, Amit Dharmaveer Bagdi, is currently on the run.
According to police, the accused was a habitual drinker who frequently fought with his wife. Frustrated with Amit's behaviour, his wife and children left the house and sought refuge at the home of a relative.
The accused last saw his wife and children three days ago and has been staying with them since then.
Their relative, Vikas Bagdi, who lived alone, left for his housekeeping job at 7 a.m. on Thursday.
When Vikas returned home around 11:30 a.m., he found the mother and her two children dead. He called the cops after discovering a wooden cricket bat near their bodies.
Following receiving the information, a police team arrived on the scene and sent the bodies for a post-mortem examination.
According to Thane DCP Amar Jadhav, a case has been filed against the accused, and efforts to locate and apprehend him are ongoing.
