Man, 4 disabled daughters found dead in Delhi, cops suspect murder-sui.cide
PTC News Desk: A man and his four daughters were found dead in Vasant Kunj's Rangpuri village in the national capital, police reported on Saturday.
The four allegedly consumed poison and killed themselves.
On September 27, at 10:18 a.m., police were called to report a foul smell coming from the house. When they arrived, they broke the lock on the flat and discovered the bodies.
According to authorities, the deceased, Hira Lal (50), lived with his daughters Neetu, Nishi, Neeru, and Nidhi, who were unable to walk due to disability. His wife died a year ago, reportedly from cancer.
Hira Lal was a carpenter at Vasant Kunj's Spinal Injury Hospital since 1996, according to Delhi Police.
CCTV footage shows him entering the residence on September 24, after which the door has remained locked from the inside. One of the daughters was blind, while another had trouble walking, according to an official. Details about the others are still being probed.
According to Delhi Police sources, all four girls had a red sacred thread tied around their stomachs and necks. According to authorities, the bodies of the four girls were found on the double bed in the first room, while the body of the man was discovered in the second room. All five of the deceased were found with white foam near their mouths.
