Manish Sisodia's legal team alleges 'misbehaviour' with him, Delhi Court orders preservation of CCTV footage
New Delhi, June 1: After Manish Sisodia's legal team filed an application saying that security personnel misbehaved with him inside the court grounds, Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court ordered the preservation of CCTV footage from May 23 of the court complex on Thursday.
Following the allegation that he was manhandled, the Delhi Police filed a plea in Court on Thursday seeking permission to produce Sisodia only by video-conferencing. According to Delhi Police, video conferencing should be used because physically producing him "creates chaos" with AAP supporters and media gathering in the court corridors.
Noting this, Special Judge MK Nagpal stated that till a decision is not taken on the application, Sisodia will be produced in court only through video conferencing.
Sisodia appeared in court today via video conference from the court's jail.
Previously, the Court heard the supplementary charge sheet submitted against former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Sisodia in the Money Laundering case relating to the Delhi Excise policy matter.
The ED detained Sisodia in this case on March 9. On February 26, he was arrested by the CBI. He is the 29th accused arrested in this case.
The charge sheet in the case has already been filed by the CBI. Last Monday, the High Court denied him bail in the CBI case.
