PTC Web Desk: A Pakistani national has been apprehended by Indian forces after crossing the Line of Control (LoC) in the Poonch sector of Jammu and Kashmir, according to official sources quoted by ANI. This development comes as the Indian Army has ramped up surveillance and security measures along the LoC in response to escalating tensions with Pakistan.

In a separate incident on Sunday night, the Border Security Force (BSF) detained a 24-year-old Pakistani intruder in Punjab’s Gurdaspur district. The man, identified as Husnain from Gujranwala, Pakistan, had crossed into Indian territory near Border Out Post (BOP) Sahapur. BSF personnel spotted suspicious movement around Falku Nala, roughly 250 metre inside Indian territory, and responded swiftly.

The intruder was discovered hiding in dense vegetation. A Quick Reaction Team (QRT) from the BSF surrounded the area and successfully captured the individual. Pakistani currency and a national identity card were recovered from his possession. He was taken to the nearest BSF post for initial questioning, and further investigations are underway.

These incidents are the latest in a series of cross-border encounters. Recently, a Pakistani Ranger was detained along the Rajasthan border, and a BSF jawan was reportedly captured by Pakistani forces. These episodes have occurred against the backdrop of growing Indo-Pak friction following a recent terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir.
