Parliament Security Breach 2023: According to police sources, the individuals responsible for the significant security breach within the Lok Sabha have been identified. Sagar Sharma, the son of Shankarlal Sharma, and 35-year-old D Manoranjan, the son of D Devaraj, were pinpointed as the culprits behind the intrusion during Wednesday afternoon.

Further details reveal the identities of the two individuals detained outside Parliament as Neelam, a 42-year-old woman, and Amol Shinde, aged 25.

While police sources have disclosed limited information about the intruders, it has been revealed that Manoranjan hails from Mysuru and holds a degree in Computer Sciences from a city college. Neelam, one of the individuals apprehended outside Parliament, is originally from Haryana's Hisar and was reportedly preparing for the civil services entrance examination.

All four individuals involved have been placed under arrest, with the anti-terror cell of the Delhi Police spearheading the investigation. Notably, senior officials, including Police Commissioner Sanjay Arora, are present at the Parliament premises. As part of the ongoing forensic investigation, the canisters used in the breach have been confiscated for evidential purposes.

Meanwhile, Amroha MP Kunwar Danish Ali alleged that the two men were issued passes from the office of BJP leader Pratap Simha. The House adjourned shortly after the incident, prompting escalated security measures in the vicinity. Sagar Sharma's visitor pass bore the name of BJP MP Pratap Simha from Mysore.

One person was observed leaping over the benches of the Lok Sabha, while another was dangling from the public gallery, spraying tear gas during Zero Hour, as mentioned by Congress leader in Lok Sabha, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury.

Highlighting the severity of the situation, Mr. Chowdhury stated, "This is undoubtedly a security breach, occurring on the death anniversary of those who sacrificed their lives in the 2001 Parliament attack."

On this day in 2001, terrorists from the Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed attacked the Parliament complex, resulting in the loss of nine lives. Congress MP Karti Chidambaram recounted his initial confusion, thinking it was someone falling from the visitors' gallery. However, the gravity of the situation became apparent when a second individual jumped into the chamber."

"After the second person jumped, I realised it was a security breach... the gas could have been toxic," he stated.

The Lok Sabha reconvened its session at 2 pm. Speaker Om Birla reassured the concerned parliamentarians, saying, "We are actively investigating and have requested the Delhi Police to participate in the inquiry. I've received an update regarding the smoke. There isn't a significant threat from it. I assure all of you. I'm here, seated among you. Let's await further details post the investigation."
