PM Modi apologises to Lord Ram: In an auspicious, momentous and spiritually profound occasion, the Pran Pratishtha ceremony is underway in newly erected Ram Mandir in Ayodhya and Prime Minister Narendra Modi attends the pivotal milestone event and unveiled the iconic and significant Ram Lalla idol at the Shri Ram Janmaboomi Temple in Ayodhya. 

PM Modi led rituals at the Pran Pratishtha ceremony in the sanctum sanctorum of the grand temple and addressed the people of Ayodhya at the Shri Ram Janmaboomi Temple in Ayodhya

While addressing the people on the auspicious, iconic and significant occasion of Pran Prathistha ceremony in Ayodhya temple, Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated people and said that Ram Lalla will not stay in a tent now.

"Many congratulations to all the people of the country for this auspicious occasion," PM Modi said. "After centuries of unprecedented patience, countless sacrifices, renunciations and penances, our Prabhu Ram has come..." he said.

Why PM Modi apologises Lord Ram? 

While addressing at Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, Prime Minister Narendra Modi apologised to Lord Ram and said, “There must be something lacking in our effort, sacrifice and penance that we could not do this work for so many centuries. Today the work has been completed. I believe that Lord Shri Ram will definitely forgive us today...”

"Ram Lalla will not stay in a tent now. He will stay in the grand temple..." the Prime Minister added.

Highlighting the Lord Rama’s devotion, he added, "This is a temple of national consciousness in the form of Ram. Ram is the faith of India, Ram is the foundation of India. Ram is the idea of India, Ram is the law of India...Ram is the prestige of India, Ram is the glory of India...Ram is the leader and Ram is the policy. Ram is eternal...When Ram is honoured, its effect does not last for years or centuries, its effect is for thousands of years..." 

How PM Modi performed Prathistha ceremony

• Prime Minister Narendra Modi who performed the Pran Pratishtha ceremony at the Shri Ram Janmaboomi Temple in Ayodhya on Monday was seen dressed in a cream-coloured traditional kurta-pajama, matching jacket and a stole
• Amidst hymns and vedic chants of mantras by priests, PM Narendra Modi offered prayers to Ram Lalla
• PM Modi performed the 'aarti' of the Ram Lalla idol at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple in Ayodhya.

• The idol of Ram Lalla was unveiled at the temple in the presence of the Prime Minister.
• PM Modi performed 'parikrama' of the deity and did 'dandavat pranam'. He also took blessings from 'sadhus'
• The historic Pran Pratishtha ceremony was attended by representatives of all major spiritual and religious sects of the country.
• People from all walks of life including representatives of various tribal communities also attended the ceremony.
