Pune Porsche crash case: The 17-year-old lad, who killed two IT workers riding motorcycles with his Porsche in Pune ended up into the irreplaceable loss and enduring sorrow.
The tragic incident unfolded when Anish Awadiya and Ashwini Costa were returning home on motorcycles with friends after a night out at a club.
Vedant Agarwal, 17, was driving the Porsche Taycan and crashed the speeding vehicle into their bike at the Kalyani Nagar junction.
However, in a recent breakthrough, the grandfather of the Pune teenager who fatally ran over two 24-year-old techies in a late-night drunken drive in a Porsche has been arrested.
According to police sources, the family's driver claimed he was wrongfully confined, threatened, and pressured to take the blame for the accident. The grandfather faces charges under IPC sections related to kidnapping and wrongful confinement.
Pune Police reported that shortly after the accident, efforts were made to coerce the driver into accepting responsibility.
The grandfather allegedly locked up the driver and urged him to take the blame, as the family sought to protect the minor. He also assured the driver that the family would arrange for his release, according to the sources.
Surendra Agarwal was arrested at 3 am from his residence in connection with a new case filed by the Pune crime branch. This marks the third FIR in the Pune Porsche crash incident.
The Pune crime branch had questioned Agarwal to gather more information about his son and grandson, including their conversations on the day of the accident, to further investigate the case.
Though, for some the horrific Pune Porsche crash underscores the dangers of allowing minors to drive, several other questioned country’s judicial systems but for two families of Madhya Pradesh, Pune Porsche incident ended up in irreplaceable loss, enduring sorrow and endless pain.
