Radhika Yadav's music video surfaces as probe into tennis player's murder intensifies

Amid investigation into the murder of Radhika Yadav by her father, a music video featuring the tennis player has come to fore opening another angled to the killing that has sparked outrage across the sports fraternity.

While financial independence and her father Deepak Yadav's defiance over her academy remains the potential reason of conflict, the Gurugram police have said that Radhika's appearance in a music video may have aggravated the tensions.

The music video, titled "Karwaan" by artist INAAM, was released a year ago. Produced by one Zeeshan Ahmad, the video was released under the LLF Records label. The music video features Radhika alongside INAAM in several romantic scenes.

The police further said that Radhika was forced to pause her playing career after she sustained an injury two years ago.  Instead of stepping away from tennis entirely, she chose to coach young players despite her father's objections.

According to the FIR, filed by Radhika's uncle Kuldeep Yadav, Deepak was unsettled with Radhika's decision of running the academy which she continued despite his objections.

The accused Deepak Yadav in his confession told the police that he was significantly troubled by the villager's taunts that he was surviving off his daughter's income and had even heard people questioning her character.

"When I used to go to Wazirabad village to get milk, people used to taunt me, saying that I live off my daughter's earnings. This troubled me a lot. Some people even questioned my daughter's character. I told my daughter to close her tennis academy, but she refused," Deepak told the police.
