Second batch of deportees from US to land in Amritsar today; third batch to follow on Feb 16
PTC News Desk: A plane carrying second batch of illegal immigrants from the United States will arrive today at Sri Guru Ram Dass Jee International Airport on Saturday night, according to officials.
The flight is expected to land at the airport around 10 pm, official sources said. Earlier a flight carrying 104 deportees landed at Amritsar on February 5 in a US military aircraft.
The second batch will consist of 119 deportees amongst which 67 are from Punjab, 33 from Haryana while 8 belong to Gujarat. Three deportees are from Uttar Pradesh and 2 each from Rajasthan and Maharashtra while 1 each from Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh.
