Tamil Nadu: 13 year old sexually assaulted by 3 teachers, incident sparks outrage
PTC News Desk: In a shocking incident, a thirteen year old high school student was allegedly gangraped by three teachers in Tamil Nadu's Krishnagiri district. The incident has sparked outrage in the area, with relatives protesting and demanding stringent action.
All the three accused have been arrested and sent to police custody. A case under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act has been registered following a complaint lodged by victim's mother.
The girl has been admitted to the hospital and is receiving treatment. The Krishnagiri all-women police team has arrested the three accused teachers, who are now in 15-day police custody.
The incident came to light after the school authorities raised alarm over girl's persistent absence from school. Upon inquiry the victim girl's mother informed the school administration about alleged sexual assault. The principal immediately advised her to file a police complaint and report the matter to the District Child Protection Officer.
All three accused have been arrested and sent to 15 days police custody.
