Vijay Rupani's lucky number '1206' turned fatal with Ahmedabad plane crash
PTC News Desk: Gujarat ex Chief Minister and Punjab BJP in-charge Vijay Rupani who was amongst 242 passengers on board Air India 787 Dreamliner flight from Ahmedabad to London died in plane crash on Thursday.
Flight AI 171 crashed shortly after taking off from Ahmedabad Airport.
If reports are to be believed, Vijay Rupani was a firm believer of numerology. He deemed 1206 as his lucky number to such an extent that all his vehicles bear registration number 1206. Even the two-wheeler in his household carries the number 1206.
However, in a heart wrenching twist of fate, the same 1206 number which Rupani considered his lucky number turned out to be fatal. Vijay Rupani was killed in tragic Air India plane crash on June 12 turning his lucky number calamitous.
The aircraft crashed into a densely populated residential area in Meghani Nagar, just five minutes after take-off from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport, erupting in a massive explosion that sent plumes of black smoke rising into the sky. Eyewitnesses described scenes of panic, fire, and shattered homes as emergency services rushed to the site in a desperate attempt to rescue survivors and contain the blaze.
Rupani was going to his daughter’s house in London. As per reports, Rupani’s wife, Anjali, was in London for the past several days, and now he was also going to meet his daughter.
Rupani served as the 16th chief minister of Gujarat from August 2016 to September 2021. Currently he was also the in-charge of Punjab BJP.
