Visakhapatnam murder case: Married Navy official confesses to killing lover, cutting body into several parts
PTC Web Desk: A disturbing case has emerged from Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, where a serving Indian Navy personnel has been taken into custody after allegedly confessing to the killing of a woman he was reportedly in a relationship with.
According to initial police information, the accused is posted at INS Dega. The incident came to light after the accused approached the police and surrendered, sharing details about the alleged crime.
Preliminary findings suggest that the incident took place at the accused’s residence while his wife was away visiting her parents. The woman, identified as Polipalli Mounika, had reportedly come to meet him during that time. An argument broke out between the two, which escalated tragically.
Police officials stated that the accused later attempted to dispose of the remains in different locations. Some parts were allegedly recovered from secluded areas, while others were found at the residence. Search operations are ongoing to recover missing evidence and establish the complete sequence of events.
During questioning, the accused reportedly told police that he had known the woman since 2021, after meeting her through a dating platform. He also claimed there had been financial dealings between them and alleged that she had threatened to disclose their relationship to his wife.
The case has drawn comparisons with the widely reported Shraddha Walker murder case due to certain similarities in the nature of the allegations.
An FIR has been registered, and further investigation is underway to verify all claims, gather forensic evidence and determine the exact circumstances surrounding the incident.
